Last night’s Montreal Comedy Festival auditions at The Punchline
March 9th, 2009 | San Francisco ComedyLast night’s Sunday showcase at The Punchline was an audition for the esteemed Montreal Comedy Festival. Aside from a trip to Montreal, a spot in the festival earns a comedian a chance to be seen by top agents, managers, and other high-ranking comedy folk.
My pick for best set of the night: Alex Koll, SF’s reigning air guitar champion. Alex’s set was very funny and full of weird original stuff that should impress the judges.
Other impressive sets included Edwin Li, Kris Tinkle, and Reggie Steele.
There will be a second night of Montreal auditions tomorrow night at 8pm.
