Jeff Garlin to end stand-up career with San Francisco taping

March 13th, 2008 | San Francisco Comedy

UPDATE: The shows will go on, but the taping has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.

In an interview with cleveland.com, Jeff Garlin reveals that after 25 years, he is quitting stand-up comedy. The sidekick to Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Garlin will appear at Cobb’s Comedy Club March 27th-29th, filming a new special directed by Bob Odenkirk.

Says Garlin: “In all sincerity, I want to narrow down what I do… I’m filming a special on the 29th of this month in San Francisco, and that’s why I’m out on the road. I’m preparing for it. Once I film this special and I’ve got a few commitments that run until early May, then it will have been 25 years. And I’m done.”
